DESIGN PROCESS
What We Provide
The design process is structured in phases and emphasizes collaboration. Initially, we spend time understanding you, your lifestyle, needs, and goals. This information is then transformed into a design. Throughout the design phases, we maintain regular communication and provide updates during scheduled meetings after each phase. Once the designs are finalized, we collaborate with skilled and vetted landscapers to realize the vision. To alleviate your stress, we oversee site inspections during the construction process to ensure the project is executed as planned.

PHASE 1 - CONSULTATION / SITE SURVEY
The design process kicks off with a site visit and an initial consultation. The main goal at this stage is to thoroughly understand your aspirations and needs for the garden, while also getting a sense of the existing space. After this, you'll receive a written brief that outlines the fee structure, design process, and a detailed summary of your objectives for the garden.

PHASE 2 - CONCEPT DESIGN
The next step involves conducting a topographical survey of the site, which records the layout, levels, and utilities. Using this information, concept designs are created in both 2D and 3D formats. Additionally, moodboards are developed to complement the concept. At this stage, the emphasis is on the overall layout rather than specific details.

PHASE 3 - DEVELOPED DESIGN
Once the concept design is approved, these drawings evolve the selected layout into a comprehensive master plan. They propose material palettes, spatial arrangements, locations, and a planting palette that defines the general character of the planting. Additionally, 3D imagery is further refined to provide a realistic sense of the space.

PHASE 4 - TECHNICAL DESIGN/ TENDER DOCUMENTS
After the master plan is approved, technical drawings are created. These include setting out plans, lighting locations, level plans, cross-sections, and any required details for structural engineer approval. The documents are then prepared for tender by the selected contractor.
